The Owosso City Council will hold a public hearing to receive comment from interested persons on the proposed Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Five-Year Project Plan to replace water mains and lead service lines throughout the City and make improvements to the Water Treatment Plant, at the City Council meeting on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers.

The proposed five-year plan details the next phase of infrastructure improvements at the Water Treatment Plant and in the distribution system to comply with regulatory requirements and to increase reliability of service to residents and customers.


The City is requesting a DWSRF loan for project design and construction costs, which are estimated at $81,440,000.00.

An overview of the five-year project plan will be presented at the City Council meeting on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. 

All interested parties are invited to submit written comments on the proposed Project Plan. All comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on May 20, 2024, to be considered as part of the public record. Written comments received before the hearing record is closed on May 20, 2024 will receive responses in the final project plan.  Written comments should be sent to city.clerk@ci.owosso.mi.us.
