CITY OF OWOSSO GUTE HILL STANDPIPE WARRANTY REPAIR WORK
April 17^th – May 10^th 

Notice for Customers adjacent to the Gute Hill Standpipe:

The City of Owosso will be starting the repair work of the Standpipe located at Gute Hill on April 19th, 2024. The Gute Hill Standpipe will be drained beginning on April 17th.  Our contractor will begin working on Friday, April 19th, 2024 at 7am. The Contractor will be working from 7 AM to 7 PM for up to a week on Mondays through Saturdays. There may be additional noise from the equipment used by the contractors to complete the work. The noise level is restricted to remain under acceptable levels as measured at city property lines. We anticipate completion of this project and the return to normal operating conditions by May 10^th, 2024.

During this repair of our water storage tank, there may be some fluctuations in the water pressure on occasion. The water production at the Filtration Plant provides sufficient water while the tank is out of service.

Notice for Commercial Customers: Please be aware that effective April 17^th, fire pump tests should be delayed until after May 10^th if possible. If there is a necessity to perform a Fire Pump test or Hydrant flow test, these should be planned for Monday through Friday by scheduling and notification as soon as possible with the staff at the Water Filtration Plant at 989-725-0560.

Notice for DPW and Fire Department Staff: Please be aware that effective 7:00AM April 17^th, hydrant flushing should be delayed until after May 10^th if possible. If there is a necessity to perform hydrant flushing, it should be planned for Monday through Friday by scheduling and notification as soon as possible with the staff at the Water Filtration Plant at 989-725-0560. Any water main breaks or fires during this period should include notification of the staff at the Water Filtration Plant at 989-725-0560 so we can increase water production.
