The City of Owosso will conduct a public hearing on September 20, 2021 at 7:30 PM at Owosso City Hall - 301 W Main Street, Owosso, MI 48867 for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to examine and submit comments on the proposed application for a CDBG grant.

The City of Owosso proposes to use $420,000 in CDBG funds to rehabilitate a blighted structure at 152 Howard Street, utilizing $558,715 in private matching funds, creating 7 new housing rental units – 3 of which will be market rate rentals and 4 will be low income attainable housing units and will benefit at least 51% low to moderate income persons.  Zero persons will be displaced as a result of the proposed activities.

The City has previously received CDBG funding and experienced positive feedback with the City’s performance in prior CDBG programs funded by the state.
