Formed in the spring of 2026, as the result of the Shiawassee District Library’s plan to move from the current Carnegie Library building to a larger location. This seven-member, temporary committee will be responsible for exploring potential purposes for the historic building and advising City Council of possible future uses.
The Committee will meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, with the first meeting anticipated for April 23, 2026. All meetings will be conducted in compliance with the Michigan Open Meetings Act and are open to the public.
