Permanent Absent Voter List

The Owosso City
Clerk would like to remind qualified and registered electors of the City
of Owosso’s “Permanent Absent Voter List”. This list has been in place
for several years now for those electors eligible to receive an absent
voter ballot for elections held in the City of Owosso.
If you are on the
“Permanent Absent Voter List”, you are mailed an application for an
absent voter ballot for each election held in the City of Owosso. If
you wish to receive an absent voter ballot, you must fill out the
required information on the application, sign the application, and
return it to the City Clerk’s office by mail or personal delivery. You
would then be mailed an Absent Voter Ballot upon receipt of your
application by the City Clerk’s office and as soon as the ballots are
ready for distribution.
To be placed on the
City of Owosso’s “Permanent Absent Voter List”, a qualified and
registered elector must meet 1 or more of the following requirements:
(1)
On account of physical
disability, cannot without another’s assistance attend the polls on the
day of the election;
(2)
On account of the tenets
of his or her religion, cannot attend the polls on the day of the
election; or
(3)
Is 60 years of age or
older.

and wish to be placed on the City of
Owosso’s “Permanent Absent Voter
List”, please contact the Owosso City Clerk’s office at (989) 725-0500.
If you are
currently on the List, you do not need to do anything further.
