Construction crews working for the City of Owosso will soon begin work on a sanitary sewer rehabilitation project on various streets in the City. Portions of the sanitary sewer pipes will be removed and replaced on the following streets and tentative dates:
- W. Oliver Street, from Fifth Street to Seventh Street: September 21, 2020 through September 28, 2020.
- Meadow Drive, from 1100 block Meadow Drive: October 2, 2020 through October 20, 2020.
This schedule is dependent upon site conditions and weather. Through traffic will be detoured around the work site(s). Driveway access will be maintained whenever possible. Additional street locations and dates will be added at a later time. Affected households will be personally notified by city letter and door hanger. Those affected residents will be provided information as to what is being done and precautions they should take while work is performed. The project is managed and overseen by the City Engineering Division and OHM Advisors, the City's consultant. The contractor is Champagne & Marx Excavating, Inc. (Saginaw, MI). Other subcontractors and utility companies may also be present on-site. All construction personnel and contractors will be in marked vehicles. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
